Get a Fresh Start in Raleigh

If a fresh start is what you’re after, Raleigh is your place. According to travel website DK Eyewitness Travel, the City of Oaks ranks third among the top 20 U.S. cities for making a fresh start.

“Raleigh and the greater Triangle area offer the thriving economy, low cost of living and hospitable culture today’s professionals seek,” said Nancy Harner, senior vice president of the Relocation and Corporate Real Estate Services Division at Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston. “Our Relocation Division coordinates moves into this area from all over the nation for people following career opportunities at major companies like Fidelity Investments and Credit Suisse.”

DK Eyewitness Travel recognized Raleigh on a list that included the likes of Fort Worth, Texas, Atlanta, Cambridge, Mass., and Los Angeles. The travel resource reported that Raleigh is “Best for: new opportunities” saying:

Fueled by its proximity to the Research Triangle Park, where more than 200 companies (including major players IBM, GlaxoSmithKline, and Cisco) have offices, Raleigh offers one of the most vibrant job markets in the nation.

No wonder then that it’s one of America’s fastest growing cities, with a huge college base that ensures the workforce remains young and energetic – and with great restaurants, lively nightlife, and an innovative live music scene, it’s a fun place to start out, or start again.

Boasting a growing social scene laden with nationally acclaimed restaurants led award-winning chefs, popular sports teams like the Carolina Hurricanes and the Durham Bulls, and enriching museums and performance centers, the Triangle region also offers an assortment of activities outside the workplace. Not to mention, the growing greenway and trail system, pristine state and public parks, large area lakes and recreation centers throughout the multi-county area.
